Reason number one: I took the trolley today and talked to a beautiful lady. It was brief. Nevertheless, she smiled at me.
Reason number two: Two years ago I stumbled across an article in Art Forum magazine about a painter named Josh Smith who became a great inspiration for me and my work. He's a visiting artist and I got to meet him.
The reason I bring this up is because he became recognized for his work by painting his name over and over and over. Writing as art.
