CALL FOR CREATIVE WRITING

Please send submissions to us by Friday 24 September.

At risd language is a material we all use, and underuse, and embrace, and ignore, or maybe glance at occasionally with a wary eye. Each of us has our own unique relationship to the written word. With this in mind we are creating a publication of creative writing made up of all the scribblings, mutterings, poems, stories and ideas that you in the risd community have. The format will be a series of monthly downloadable pdfs, collated at the end of the year to form a printed publication for you to keep. We are looking for submissions of creative writing in all its forms - we hope you think outside the box. We are keen to see the material of language, however you use it, traditional or not.

The structure will be conversational, creating a dialog between the writings and each successive pdf. Each pdf will be edited and collated around a theme that emerges from the submissions collected. In doing so we aim to reveal the collective thoughts of the writers at risd. This will be a forum for their expression and a compelling and inspiring collection of reading for the rest of us.
